On “the other end” floor our dear friend JOLIE KUBINI has invited ØRE SNU bringing together their love for different cultures and styles exploring everything from gqom, house, kuduro, baile funk, highlife, r&b and underground bass music

LECTURE (CREATING SAFER SPACES)
Prior to opening the dancefloor, JADE “SOUL” ZUBERI (aka. Jay Sound) from Detroit will be providing a lecture on creating safer spaces.

JADE “SOUL” ZUBERI [DETROIT] on CREATING SAFER SPACES (22:45-23:45)
In our pursuit of creating safer spaces, we have invited JADE ZUBERI aka. Jay Sound for a lecture and Q&A on the exploration of Anti-Racist/Anti-Oppression terms, language, and practices before opening the dancefloor. This journey involves unpacking strategies to decenter the most privileged voices, fostering an understanding of racial equity, and prioritizing the protection of those most vulnerable to harm. Emphasizing on the importance of actionable steps – not just obtaining knowledge but actively staying engaged in creating positive change, such as unlearning outdated and harmful language.
